Department of Marketing

This Department is engaged in teaching a three year undergraduate course in the subject of Marketing & Marketing Management. At the undergraduate level following subjects are taught.
  • Marketing and Salesmanship - First Year,B.Com.
  • Marketing Management I- Second Year B.com.
  • Marketing Management II - Third Year B.Com.
  • Marketing Management III – Third Year B.com.

Marketing Department is continuously trying to hone the skills of departmental students by organizing various seminars, workshops, training programmmes as well as study tours. The main aim of marketing department is not only to acquaint the students with marketing skills but also to make them more vibrant to cope with the challenges and opportunities in the field of commerce and marketing. To achieve the departmental vision and mission, department has entered into the agreements and memorandum of understanding with many commercial organizations to provide hands on training to the students.

During this period the students are exposed to a vast range of information as well as through knowledge of this subject. A blend of theory and practical's helps students to understand the application of marketing and it's Management to contemporary business. In keeping with the demands of modern day business, the department has introduced a Certificate Course in Digital Marketing. Seminars, workshops and guest lectures are organised to facilitate interaction of students and faculty with industry experts.

Work Shop on Entrepreneurship Development

The department of Marketing in association with Students' Development Centre of Savitribai Phule Pune University has organised one day workshop on Entrepreneurship Development for Women's and Students of Maharashtra Ladies Association and Ness Wadia College respectively on 17th February, 2023. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Radhakrishna Pandit (Director, Skill Development Centre, SPPU). The workshop was well responded by more than 35 women entrepreneurs and 100 students. Mr. Ramdas Bade, Dr. Ujwal Khamkar and Ms. Priyanka C has successfully coordinated this workshop under the guidance of Dr. Rajesh Raut ( HOD, Department of Marketing) and Prof. Dr. Vrishali S. Randhir ( I/C Principal, NWCC).
